FEEP's Mission
The focus of the Foundation for Environmental and Economic Progress (FEEP) is expressed in its name: to balance environmental and economic concerns as they affect the development of master planned communities as well as more traditional uses of land including agricultural and forestry uses.
FEEP's mission is to address this absence of balanced representation by:
-
Promoting the interests of those businesses whose employees, stockholders and customers are most affected by land use policy and environmental regulations.
-
Working with policymakers in Congress and Federal officials on the most appropriate and beneficial uses of land.
-
Studying methods for improving habitats and reclaiming natural resources.
-
Seeking changes in the policies and regulations adopted by Federal officials, in order to accomplish important environmental objectives in a manner consistent with economic growth and progress.
To those ends, the non profit Foundation maintains a small Washington , D.C. headquarters and staff, assisted by outside consultants and land use experts, all managed through a representative board of directors drawn from its member companies.
